Holy Morning Constitution it's Picture Day!

Woke up this morning, got the kids all dressed in their school uniforms. Sent them down for breakfast and decided to have my morning constitution. Normal day. As I was having my morning constitution and reading Facebook  I saw a girl in Izzy's class posing in a nice outfit, not her school uniform. Picture Day! I had to scramble to get the kids changed and looking presentable. Not half bad:

Kerry and her T-Rex Arms

I was able to spend some time with my cousin, Kerry, today. We took our kids to the Science Center. It was obscenely crowded. We had a good time regardless. Our visit today was long overdue and we are meeting again next week for lunch. I feel we understand each other and have a lot in common. I am happy to say she is not just my cousin, but my friend. She also has super short arms.

Waffles by Miles

Miles' waffle recipe:

1. Sneak downstairs.
2. Remove waffles from freezer.
3. Place waffles on plate.
4. Microwave on high for FIVE MINUTES.
5. Count backwards along with timer as loudly as you can.

 

6. Throw waffles in trash.

Stars

I tried to take a picture of the stars. It didn't work.  I'm okay with this. They were like I haven't seen since I was a kid. A picture would have never done them justice. Just awesome. Sincerely.

An all around great first camping trip. The ducklings are way better at camping than I am but I feel like I've really grown in the whole nature department.

Nerves

A nerve in my face was shot today. While the dentist was numbing my face he shot me directly in the nerve. It hurt so bad I started crawling backwards up the dentist chair, like an animal. It happens.

Mobile

Izzy made a mobile from a wire hanger well over a year ago. I hung it on the light in the dining room and it still hangs there today. Occasionally we find something and add to it. Strange, I know. There is just something about this thing I really like. Mom says, "Me TOO."

Mom- "I have stared at this for 5 minutes. What is it?"

Me- "A girl scout cookie!"

Mom- "On top of virgin Mary's head?"

Me- "Um...that's my hand. You need a new phone or some new glasses!!!"

Mom- "I do need new glasses. But look objectively. Head bowed to right. Hands in front under chin..."

Me- "I crossed my eyes and unfocused them and could kind of see it...kind of."
