Lee's Legacy
It has been just over seven months since Lee has died. Since I started this blog I have sent my Mom a picture every day. The only exceptions are the days I am with her. It has not only been a way to know she is safe all alone in Jonesboro, it has been a way for her to (hopefully) not feel alone in Jonesboro. I would say the biggest benefit for me has been the relationship I have developed with my Mom.
For those of you who may not know I started this blog 159 posts ago shortly after my brother Lee died. He died of a heroin overdose and was not found until 4/5 days later. The shock that this happened to my brother along with the shock that his body went undiscovered for so long was too much. There was a lot of sadness, questioning and fear, along with a million other emotions. One fear was one that Mom had of her suffering the same fate as Lee. She lives in another state. She lives alone, as her mate died about a year ago, totally unexpectedly. So after some brainstorming this blog was born. I look forward to every morning figuring out what picture to send Mom and I can only hope she looks forward to getting one every morning.
MOM'S RATING: 83738
